Tom is a physicist from Argonne National Laboratory, working on the ATLAS experiment. He is a past physics coordinator on the experiment. His physics interests revolve around the interplay between Standard Model and Beyond Standard Model physics. He is presently working on how ATLAS will handle the avalanche of data that will be collected in future years.

The ATLAS collaboration has announced the discovery of the χb(3P), which is a bound state of a bottom quark and bottom antiquark (bbar).
